Dr. Shah obtained the USC Presidential Scholar Award and attended USC for both her undergraduate and medical school education. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from undergraduate and with Alpha Omega Alpha medical school honors. Internship and Internal Medicine residency training, along with Endocrinology fellowship, were completed at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). She maintained an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine role at UCSD in San Diego and the San Diego VA hospital until 2020 where she volunteered her time teaching in the resident/fellow clinics. Now, she volunteers her time in the education of the University of California, Irvine Endocrine fellows.
She trained with international leaders in diabetes management and has achieved the nationally recognized distinction of Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasonography. “Working with Dr. Rettinger has proven to be an invaluable experience.”
She currently holds a position on the board of directors for the Clinical Association of California Endocrinologists (CACE) and is a program co-chair for the Hot Topics in Primary Care Series which serves to educate primary care physicians on current trends in Endocrinology. She is a member of the program committee for the CACE annual symposium as well. She won the Orange Coast Magazine’s esteemed Physicians of Excellence Award for years 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021.
Dr. Shah has a special interest in thyroid disease, thyroid cancer, diabetes, osteoporosis, PCOS and transgender medicine. She is fluent in Spanish and joined Endocrinology Medical Group of Orange County, Inc in 2010, upon completion of her training. “Both my parents are physicians and I learned early on that compassionate listening and up-to-date knowledge are the keys to healthy patients and a successful practice.”
Dr. Shah is married with two young children and enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, skiing, and dancing in her spare time.

Medical school and residency were completed in his home state of New Jersey, followed by an Endocrinology fellowship at University of California Irvine.
He has a particular interest and expertise in dyslipidemia – where he previously contributed a chapter on residual risk in treating hyperlipidemia – diabetes, osteoporosis, transgender medicine, and thyroid pathology, including ultrasound and diagnostic biopsy. “The best part of working at Endocrinology Medical Group is building relationships and supporting people through difficult times. He and his wife reside in Irvine with their three children. Dr. Rockoff joined Endocrinology Medical Group of Orange County in 2014.

Cynthia graduated with a BS in Psychobiology from UCLA where she also completed her Masters in Public Health and worked in the field of cancer prevention research. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing and completed her Nurse Practitioner training at UCSF School of Nursing. Prior to joining Endocrinology Medical Group in 2018, she worked for several years in Family Practice, which deepened her interest in the care of patients with diabetes and thyroid issues
Cynthia speaks 3 languages fluently and sees many of our Spanish speaking patients. She and her husband are enjoying the adventure of parenting two young children.

Keirsten joined Endocrinology Medical Group in September 2019, after working since 2008 at CHOC caring for adolescent diabetic and endocrine patients. She brings a wealth of knowledge in diabetes management and insulin pump therapy, as well as adrenal and pituitary disorders.
She received her Master of Science in Nursing from UCLA in Family Practice, and she spent additional extern time studying at Mayo Clinic and Carnegie Mellon University.
